last day I had a strange problem with my Canon IP7250.
First of all I use mostly compatible ink cartridges, the same brand for 2-3 years without any problem and I had a blackout in the morning (but the printer was in sleep and I had a power surge protector by APC too to reduce any power-related risk).
I had to print something and the print got with lines. Guessing the cyan ink tank was empty I was right, but when I changed it I figured that also ALL other tanks were empty, so I replaced them all.
Made a print test with some of that pics that have all color scale and the cyan was totally missing. I reset the cartridge, made a deep clean, replaced the cartridge and cleaned the printhead with isopropyl alcohol too without any luck: cyan is still missing, no one dot or line of color.
As last thing that I could think to do I gently disassembled the printhead by removing the 2 screws that hold them things to the plastic and made a better clean with isopropyl alcohol. Now ALL colors are gone and the only that still print is the black used for text (PGBK). It's like the printhead don't pump colors anymore.
And the stranger thing is that there is NO blink error code or alert/error message on PC (tested on two computers)! It just prints blank.
I decided to buy a refurbished/something like printhead from AliExpress (~42€), but the insertion says that I need to check if the motherboard is ok because it can burn the printhead (in case of missing colors!), if so I should buy a new motherboard too (that would become expensive, I guess).
Before attempt anything other there are some tests, measurement or fix on the printhead or motherboard?
