    Hi,
I'd like to create custom firmware for the mentioned refrigerator to add new features. It would be handy to have a spare board to experiment with. I've found out that it is possible to buy a programmed or unprogrammed control module:
    https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/00658766
    https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/00633277

I would greatly appreciate any answers to the following questions:
    * For the programmed one, they claim that it has software 80000000003068 programmed inside. Is it possible to get the software only?
    * For the unprogrammed one, they said that some iService software is needed to update the software. How does it work? Is it possible to download it?
    * What MCU is used in the module?

    Many thanks...

Can you get just the software?

No, only available through the factory programmer.

No, available only to authorized services.

Depending on the E-Nr, the following software may be there:
    80000000003068
    80000000016855

You won't get a .s19 or .mot file from Bosch ^^

I thought so, it would be very surprising if they share it.

Meanwhile, I've found some hi-res photo where I could see the part number D78F0503A. It was different model though, so thank you for confirmation. I already ordered some MCUs to play with to see if the firmware can be extracted out of it.

I'm currently extracting the firmware out of D78F0503A MCU used in some other appliance (Buderus boiler), so I'm thinking to get back to this.

Is it possible to take out the entire front panel with control board without the need of disassembling the refrigerator? Not sure if it's screwed from inside or somehow clicked to the chassis.
