    1) Using cdburnerxp I burned a DVD mdisc on a Lite-On iHAS122-14 FU drive (currently firmware EL06) that previously burned and read DVD mdiscs. After burning, the burning test (if the burning was completed successfully) failed. Now, on that same drive, if I put the disc in, nothing appears. I put the disc in an old ASUS drive of my friend and it loaded without any files. I put the disc in my ASUS 24x Drw-24f1mt drive and the files appeared, but only some of them could be extracted because during the extraction it crashes. Is this behavior normal for a poorly burned DVD mdisc? It is very strange that cdburnerxp shows recording completed, fails the test after recording and the files do not appear on some drives.

    2) All my other recordings with other mdisc DVDs and the test after burning were completed well but using the ASUS 24x Drw-24f1mt drive.

Perhaps this is a sign that the LiteON is faulty? Do tests on DVD RW discs, it will be cheaper than with DVDs.

Is it normal for a badly recorded DVD mdisc on the Lite-On iHAS122-14 FU drive (currently firmware EL06) that it was recorded to no longer be recognized after recording, on another ASUS drive from 2016/2017 to be recognized as an empty disc and on the more modern ASUS 24x Drw-24f1mt DVD drive it to be recognized and the files that were recorded on that DVD m-disc to be shown appears files?

These could be problems with lens contamination or a worn-out laser. It is difficult to diagnose this on your own. I have an old NEC drive and it, for example, has problems with pressed Audio CDs. A newer one no longer has these problems. NEC has always had a problem with these discs, so it's more about the software than the laser. Unless there was also a defective laser from the beginning. There have been recorders with a faulty CD laser and a working DVD. There are many combinations.

I tested the badly burned mdisc dvd on 3 sata dvd drives why is the reading behavior different on the 3 drives? On the drive that burned the mdisc after burning it does not recognize the disk, on the other drive it recognizes the disk as empty, on the third drive it recognizes and shows the files

    1. Is it normal or abnormal for two MDisc DVD drives to be burned in the same drive using CDBurnerXP? The first disc burns and verifies in total 21 minutes. The second disc burns and verifies in total 27 minutes? 4x speed two discs

    2. If the DVD SATA drive disconnects and immediately reconnects to the PC during the burning or Verify phase, will any error message be displayed by CDBurnerXP?

    3. Is it normal for some DVDs to automatically open the Windows Explorer folder with the files when inserted into the drive, and for other discs, do you need to go to the D: drive and click to open the files?

    4. Is it normal or abnormal for a badly burned MDisc DVD to not be recognized by the drive that burned it, but to be recognized as a blank disc by another drive, and to be recognized and show the files that were burned by a third DVD drive?
