Sir, doesnt the current depend on the load we connect to the dc supply? My question is if the terminals of the dc supply are shorted , the current flowng would be maximum which is difficult to measure.so where does a question arise of having a max current rating, as is it not depending on the load??
All supplies have a max current rating. In some cases the internal source resistance of a power supply determines the max current even in a shorted output condition. See the image I attached.
