    As a colleague lukiiiii wrote. If it is a domestic installation (e.g. in the countryside), it also results from the power allocation for the building / farm agreed with the Energy Company. If you want to add something to the existing installation (and used in the building / apartment), however, you must take into account that already operating devices / equipment already consume some of this power. Although this is rarely the case, the old installations were mostly made of aluminum cables, which today are mostly replaceable.

    The 16A socket can withstand a motor whose rated current is max 16A.

    For 16A and cos phi 0.8, the motor power is about 8kW

    And what engine can start on a 16A fuse, it depends on the fuse characteristics: B, C, D, gG ...
    Because it depends on what starting current the fuse will withstand. And the inrush current depends on many factors.
    Is it about a specific engine? Engine nameplate available?
