I don’t know that it has Has it ? It hasn’t enhanced trade experiences I know that much
Its made life about 1000 times more difficult than ever These days I have to spend 2 hours explaining to the consumer how to use this technology never mind operate it understand it, link it, use it, and install it
Total time these days to install TV a 42” lcd screen with web access plus mobile phones plus network downstairs to other TV across the mains means more than just plug the TV into a router
Its plug the TV into a number of routers set up all the gateway address , net masks then if your really lucky the customer wants all the laptops to function upstairs and downstairs and could you just, yes , “ COULD YOU JUST " I do love the words they use , link this into my mobile phones and also the games station with surround sound also done over wifi links / mains router links back to wifi links as well please all for £25.00 taking you a whole entire day to install just one TV that’s not forgetting satellite as well
What’s easy about it ?? Quite frankly I cant see anything easy about this at all excepot you need a degree to install a TV and you need to be a rocket scientist to explain this to them You can imagine what this is like when dealing with old age pensioners , technophobe’s etc
That’s uhm without trade and managers who have never ever come across this technology before and are no faced with having to explain to staff how to deal with this not to mention the damage that is done to the Industry in the meantime and just how many people this is putting out of work / business and the frustration and pressure this brings
For the engineer this is well Its a dooms day and of course you need to keep up to date with all of this as well as page the net work weekends find spares try to obtain co operation from manufacturers please would you supply spares , schematics , instructions , browse ebay for parts order parts set up websites
My Life is an absolute misery with no rest all or social time or just simply get away from it
Most nights I’m up till at least 1 am after putting in , most days on average 10 to 12 hours then weekends I’m always having to read up try keep up to date and try to develop other avenues for income because its that low
That’s most peoples lives now accept of course if your name happens to be Dave
Not easy at all
No joke and yes they don’t half expect it too you know without fail could you run round them like blue ass flies wiping their backsides, rushing round them because they feel they are somewhat far superior than you are , but in actual fact haven’t got a clue half the time never mind anything else of course when it comes to paying bills Yes the attitude is “ Oh they can wait “ , No jokes their either In until you start being rude and then all óf a sudden its “ Oh , “ Oh “ why they like this
