I think I may have used an incorrect expression. I am using an "ac/dc(adapter)":http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server2000/33b4c/products/126/images/345/KA-AD01_500x500__79612.1290439980.1280.1280.jpg which is made out of plastic. Input is 220V and output is 12V.
Anyway I discovered it's not grounded, so this means it's safe to use with my oscilloscope. The oscilloscope however I also tested using your method and is grounded. While testing this I also played around and tested my Lenovo laptop PSU, which definetly has a ground pin but I tested the input jack and there is no continuity with ground. Why is that, isn't that strange, is it just a dummy ground pin?
