Is there a " Black Box" out there that could be connected to 2 or more generators to increase the wattage to power larger appliances or devices? If I built one would there be a demand for such a product?

Tom,

there are portable generator that do this and the Yamaha EF2000iS is one.

This generator is an "inverter generator" that creates the AC waveform using a solid state DC-AC switching power supply.

I was thinking of more along the lines of having a circuit that has high amperage FET's referenced to a 60 Hz source that would have feedback to detect zero crossing of AC and turn FET's on at the same time. You could also use this circuit to plug in 5 to 10 (cheap) 100 to 150 watt cigarette lighter inverters into a common 12 volt buss and parallel all the outputs through the "synchronizer box". Food for thought.

The generators need to be slaved to one master generator. The frequency and the phase are slaved.
