Design a Project

im currently a engineer student in malaysia college(collaboration with
University of Bradford, UK)
below is the title of the project,
Scenario: Penang has many hawker centers. One day, a hawker center owner comes
forward to you to carry out a detailed study in the center to identify the
problems/opportunities to improve the operation of the center. After that, you are required
to propose, design, built and test a product to upgrade the hawker center efficiency.
(need to use sensor)
can give some suggestion?

What would be the specific usage of sensor for your study? Is it to determine the amount of people visiting the center or to determine the temperature in the area, etc.?

Perhaps a camera and software to view human traffic flow, where it slows does, where it abruptly changes direction, with the goal being to improve traffic flow.
