A little background...I'm a Harley mechanic and I changed my bike from carbureted to fuel injected. Long story short, the speed sensor circuit runs on a much higher hertz signal with the new system than it did before, roughly 3 times higher. The only thing that does not work is my cruise control which I would greatly love to have back. The cruise module receives a speed signal on a single wire and can only be engaged from 30mph to 85mph. With the current system all inputs work but the cruise will not engage because the module thinks the bike is traveling at 600+mph. Is there a relatively simple way to divide the speed signal, say into 1/3 of the current signal so the cruise will work? I could buy a new module for $300+ but I would much rather find an innovative solution to work around it. Any help would be appreciated!
