Hi All, I am looking for a MC3484S4-2 that is in a package case 314D. I can find a MC3484S-1 but it is a TO-220 case. What is the differance?

Hi Meyers,

I think 314D is the protection or or die cast material or some kind of encapsulation of the IC for shock, temp., etc. durability. The letter stands for the portion of casting.

TO-220 is used to identify the form and pins of the IC.
