I started with the above idea and changed it to a thermoelectric / peltier based cooling system. Now the problem is the peltier cools for a few seconds and then starts getting heated up, I dont think the peltier is damaged because after a while if I try it the same thing happens again. What am I doing wrong here.

Are you cooling/fanning the hot-side as if you don't then the cool side will stop producing cold. Need to see the mechanical setup so post a picture if you can.

The system will get the temperature from the temperature Sensor via the ADC and it will control the speed according the set going set by the user. The circuit consists of four switches based keypad, in which two buttons are used to increment and decrement the temperature value and the remaining two buttons are used to activate and deactivate the whole system.
