Battery Options and LED Driver Circuits for 120 Low Power LEDs in 9x9 Clock

We are designing a traditional clock that is going to need a circuit to illuminate the hours and minuites,

We are also designing two electronic hnds for the hours and minutes

This complete unit will take at a minimum 120 low power LEDs.

Anyone have any ideas we woul love for this to be powered by a remove able battery

Size of the clock area 9"x9"

Imagine the lights glowing behind sandblasted glass

Any guidance for this would be helpful, re off the shef circuits etc.

Initial thoughts, go through the maths and figure out what the power consumption will be over say 24 hours with the LEDs. That will tell you how long the clock will run for with a given battery capacity. You need to take into account the intensity through the sand blasted glass, and the duty cycle if multiplexing. Depending on the grit size and depth associated with the sandblasting, you may get quite a bit of light diffusion, test this with an LED,
