By now, I have 3 Phase motor (2.2KW) connected to 3 x 1.5 mm2 Cable. Then I want to replace it with the new motor which is 3KW. Is that 1.5 mm2 cable able to support the 3KW motor?

I would like to know how to calculate the maximum allowable Ampere/KW flowing through the cable 3 x 1.5 mm2. Any formula to calculate this?

Thanks Kelvin for the article, it's very good for real application.

For the previous question,
2.2KW = 5 Amp in 415VAC
3.0KW = 6.5 Amp in 415VAC

Based on the Conversion mm2 to AWG in the attachment, 1.5mm2 = 16 AWG right?

However, from Table given in NEC 310-16, during 60 and 75 Degree C, we can't get any Ampere, what should I do in order to know the Maximum Ampere that the cable 1.5mm2 can handle?
