Hello,

I've connected passive equalizer (RC parallel circuit) to the system to improve frequency response. I have the amplitude against frequency before and after connecting the equalizer . Can I calculate the resistor value or the capacitor from this information ?

Hi Mimo,

Actually, there so much information you can get when you have values for your amplitude and frequency. In this case, the amplitude can be considered as the voltage. We know that capacitance is the amount of charge per unit voltage. Then from the formula of reactance(or in other term resistance in AC) Xc = (1/2*pi*f*C).

I would also suggest you read RC circuits. There are alot of references you can get in the internet.
