Hi everybody,
I'm currently designing a MOSFET power amplifier. Since I'm new to analog circuit design, I have a couple of questions to ask:
1. How do you simulate a load on the LTP/driver stage? I experimentally tweaked my component values (using resistor as load) until I had the necessary current to drive my mosfets but when I connected the actual mosfets, my current approached near zero and close to rail voltage! I'm using a complementary push pull output stage configured in source follower. My driver stage consists of 2nd LTP with current mirror.
2. What are the benefits of 2 LTP stages instead of one, I've heard it's performance related?
3. Could you please suggest some links online with practical-oriented theory which would help me determine component values for the LTP, current mirror and current source circuits. The university resources online aren't very helpful in practice
4. Finally, do you take on a more experimental or theoretical approach in the industry to determine component values?
Ps I've heard of this great book 'Art of Electronics' but I can't get it now :|
Cheers
