Multichannel terristerial broadcast

Dear engineers
am thinking of some idea that my country is wasting money on it, every TV broadcaster here uses their own terristerial Tx antenna each side by side. rather than this can't we use one terristerial Tx antenna that Transmit multichannel as wanted for all broadcasters is there any done researches that will help me to solve this problem

I believe there is a standard for this. I know it may sound redundant, but every broadcasting company pays rights to broadcast their media at their own facility. That is why, broadcasting is expensive. And the towers are built for their own profit. If a company uses/ connects with another tower, that entails an amount of money for the rights to tag along in that tower. If your saying they are wasting money, well, that is their money. Unless it is a government owned property that would be a different story.
