Design a home security system circuit?

Hi, 

i want to design a security system for my mom's house. 

Apparenty i figured i need to design a electrical system with a 

alram clock which at a specific time play a sound if the circuit is open( i.e. The gate is open) 

and wont play the sound if it is closed.

Hello Jaslove.

I can give advice on the transducer you'll need.
Connect 2 aluminum foils to both sides of the gate [ensure that the foils will
touch when the gate is closed and anyone outside can't reach them].
Attach 2 wires to the foils and connect it to your alarm-sounding system.

You can pass 5V dc through the foil and feed it to the gate of a power PMOS.
The drain and source of the PMOS will be shunted to the alarming device.
