I'm planning to build a discrete op amps using 12ax7 tubes with gain of 1500. Please let me know if this is possible. I'm planning to make it in 3 stages (50x10x3). Plate voltage at 10v only.

Hi,

I believe that is possible, I have seen a circuit of an OPAmp made from a vacuum tube. An op-amp is essentially a high-gain differential amplifier. Maybe as long as you maintain the gain, it would be just fine.

The first "op amps" were tube based, I refer you to the K2-W made by Philbrick in 1952.
