PLC generic tester

Hi All,

I was wondering if a PLC generic tester exist?, which basically regardless of the program in the PLC, the tester will be able to send a signal to the PLC inputs and detect the an output that the PLC is sending back... I need one for work related purposes and before creating or designing a tester, I would like to know if they already exist.

Hi,

Well you can always start with a "PLC simulator('')":http://www.ebay.com/bhp/plc-simulator if you want. It has preloaded programs you can work with. There are also "PLC test devices('')":http://scientific-management.com/plc-testing-device.html but are mostly used in training technician from no to intermediate knowledge with PLC.

Thanks Kevin,

I look them up briefly, and it seem that they simulate a PLC, not sure if that is what I want.. I already have the PLC, I need to test if the PLC that I have.. is sending the output when I give them the input.. I but will look them up more in depth, Maybe the simulator software can be my test device and I just made the cable to make the necessary connections...
