Good afternoon,

mainly my question is : Does it have a point to talk about inrush current on 5V sensors? For example a valve position sensor?

Or we can have just a max operating current at a maximum voltage supply?

Hi,

Well, in any device that operate at a very sensitive task I think inrush current must be watched out. As we know it can damage not only the sensor, but the whole system itself. It would be best to use circuit protection tools.

Unless you have very big capacitors in your circuit [3300 uF >], I don't think inrush will be a problem.

first of all check the max voltage and current that can be safely handeled by your sensor accoordingly limit thein rush current / voltage to your sensor using resistors.
