Sanjay when I first saw this I thought it was a joke, but a bit of googling revealed that a dogbone is an insulating member used to separate wires in a (high power) transformer. Is this what you're referring to? If so I have learned something, but it is so far outside my usual areas of (supposed) expertise that I cannot give you any sort of answer as to which is better. Maybe some of our power experts can do so?
