I have an Extech 48VFL PID controller and I was having trouble properly wiring it. I'm connecting it to a thermocouple, heat cartridge, and giving it power with a striped extension cord.

Hi Kevin-Assuming you're in the United states- The white (neutral) wire from the power source goes to pin 1, along with one side of the heating element. The black (hot) wire from the power input goes to pin 2, along with a jumper to pin 11. the other wire from the heating element goes to pin 12.Make sure the heating element does not draw more than 5 amps.-Rick
