Bart,If you are asking specifically about parameters for the pulse/frequency transmitter, It's not clear that you need to set the measurement range on that part.One thing you will need to know in your project is how many pulses you will get per revolution. This is a function of the sensor used on the motor. If you are selecting a sensor, you need to consider the maximum RPM that you need to measure. This determines the maximum pulses per revolution you can have. Your transmitter can measure 10kHz max (1ok pulses/sec). For example if you want to measure 6000 RPM that would be 100 rev/sec so you could have 100 pulses/rev. But that would be the max and you are better off being somewhat lower to give some margin in your design.
