I have created a circuit to monitor the voltage level of a car battery which is 12 volts .The lower threshold point is 9.6 volts and the upper threshold point is 11.6 volts.I want to use red LED to indicate that it is less than LTP and green to indicate it is higher than UTP. I am advised to use zener diode and scale down the voltage to complete the circuit, but i am stuck with this.
