Hello, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm at wit's end. I'm an Electrical Engineer working in IT, and have been working to upgrade the computer controlling an old Kirk-Rudy Rite Jet 219V . Earlier today, the computer crashed while uploading a program to the Foreman controller. It appears that the base of the controller is an Altera device, from prior to 2003. It is interfaced through serial, and I do not have easy physical access to the chip.
From that point on, when I boot up the controller, it gives me the following message when I view the serial communication:
BootForeman Rev 1.01A.
Press Ctrl-C to stop auto load.
Foreman.hex
Cannot find Altera File
Foreman.ldr
SDRAM Test
Address 002fffff Expected 0089fffd Found f0a512ef
Press 'A' to enter Diagnostics:
Prior to this, it found the foreman Altera file and booted just fine. I've tried re-uploading the Foreman Altera file, followed by the loader, and then rebooting, but it doesn't seem to take. Obviously something got corrupted, but I'm not sure how to fix it. My best guess is that it's not actually storing the uploaded file, possibly because it's already there?
If anyone has any experience programming Altera devices, it would be greatly appreciated!
Eric
