What Size 12V Power Supply for 1965 Ford Truck Headlights and Horn on 110V AC?

I have a front cap of a 1965 Ford truck that is being used as a desk.  I want to make a permanent setup to plug in the lights to run off 110V.  I wired all the lights and hooked them to a 12V battery and everything works fine.  What I want to do is find a converter or transformer that will run everything without issue.  I bought a cheap 12V transformer online and hooked everything up.  It worked fine for about 15 minutes and then I think the transformer overheated and burned out. The headlights are 40W on the dim side (I don't plan to use the brights).  The marker lights I'm not real sure about the wattage but I'm going to guess around 15W or less each.  I really don't want the headlights to be full power so I don't mind if they are dim due to lack of wattage but I don't want this to affect the long term use of a converter or transformer.  Also, I want to be able to honk the horn.  All it says is 12V.  No indication of Watts or Amps.  Help.

You don't need to convert AC to DC as the lights work on AC too.Just get a more powerful 12V transformer, like 100VA. If you
want to go switched mode to save a little power and maybe a little money how about
the transformers they sell for 12V MR16 spotlights? But make sure it is >=100W. Or use 2 at 50W although may need another for the horn if you do that.

 The horn should work fine as it’s a short blast and although
it might temporarily dim the lights and overload the transformer it won’t overheat
it. I doubt they take more than 40W.That is assuming it’s OK on AC. I am pretty
sure a horn of that vintage will not be polarity sensitive so work on AC. But
it might sound a little strange with the 120Hz modulation on top of the horn
sound.

I am a complete amateur when it comes to electronics.  Can you make a recommendation of an inexpensive (less than $50) transformer you would purchase for this project?  Or give me more details of what specs need to be listed on it.  I'm afraid I'll waste my money on something that won't work.  Thanks in advance.
