Hello EEWeb Community
I am very new to PCB RF design, frankly, quite ignorant and would appreciate some guidance.Attached is a simple graphic of my intended application.I have an LTE module with mini PCI connector on the bottom of the PCB with MHF4 antenna connections on board, mounted inside an aluminium enclosure. MHF4 pigtails will connect the module to the PCB. An off the shelf dome antenna is mounted on top of the aluminium enclosure. The dome antenna comes with MMCX connectors. The PCB is mounted between the antenna and the LTE module.I want to connect the LTE module to the dome antenna. They are terminated with different RF connectors. A PCB mounted RF connector to RF connector is the obvious solution, one on either side (in my opinion). Presently I intend using the following PCB mounted RF connectors to achieve this.MMCX: Samtec MMCX-J-P-H-ST-SM1MHF4: Taoglas RCE-20449-001E-01What advice can be offered to make this as efficient as possible/Improve/etc.? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.Thank you.Kind regardsJacques
