Why Use Cables Instead of Busbars in 300m+ UAE Skyscraper Electrical Design?

Hi. I was watching this tv program, Meggar Engineering. this documentary was on a skyscraper in the UAE, I don't quite remember the name but it was a building well over 300 metres high.

I saw cables running all through from the basement to the top, and not busbars. could someone please explain why the engineer would do this - choose cables over busbar system for such a building??

You would need to talk to the design team for the building. Bus bars have to be designed and fabricated for the space, which is avoided with cabling. One consideration may be fire, sealing off between floors may be easier, otherwise you might end up with a 300m chimney, who knows!
