Ok thx, weird part is I opened the tv up and there is a red light on the motherboard as if it's functional but nothing happens. I'm a car mechanic so I can measure currents. Any idea where to start? I can send pictures.

I’ve got a good idea:to give the disc to someone to fix. Anyone who can sort it out...

Hi guys,

I have a Hitachi 55HAK6450 stuck on standby.
The motherboard is a Vestel 17MB185 version 23690120.
Is it stuck because of the firmware? If so, does anyone have this firmware?

What exactly happens when you plug it in/power it on - standby LED colour/blinking, any click, backlight flash, sound, response to remote or buttons?
Red LED, nothing else
Have you checked the PSU/mainboard voltages and tried a USB firmware update already? If yes, what voltages/results did you get, and can you post the full sticker details from the mainboard/panel?
I have no firmware
