Why does the projector display the desktop and "not see"

I wanted to watch a movie on my laptop by projecting the image through the projector on the wall and I have a problem. Well, the projector casts an image of everything but the movie window, i.e. you can see my desktop, mouse cursor movement, etc. but you can't see the movie. Where the movie should be displayed is a black rectangle, only the subtitles are displayed. I tried different programs like allplayer, subedit, wmp but the same thing everywhere. Can anyone guess why? It looks like the projector does not see the area of the screen where the program displays the movie. The projector is definitely working because I checked it on the Pc and the movies fly like in multiplex


The projector is an EPSON EMP-S1H (connected via a "monitor cable" d-sub)
Laptop ASUS A6VA Q039, graphics ATi Mobility Radeon X700 128MB VRAM

You need to turn on the clone in the card and transfer the image to the d-sub output. In the screen properties of the laptop, go to settings -> advanced -> screen[s] -> and there you have the choice of what is to be displayed where, that is, you must turn on the monitor (because that is how the projector is seen) and choose to be "first". - then the laptop desktop will be as "second" but it will fully display what you are doing in addition to the image of the movie you want to watch.

U me a little differently it is set up so I could not choose the order but you guided me to the right thinking. It helped to set the graphics so that the laptop only projected an image on the projector (lcd off) and beautifully see everything.

I have the same problem but with a projector connected via USB with a desktop computer, graphics card integrated. In the DVD player window there is a black background on the image projected from the projector, on the monitor everything is ok. In the graphics card settings it sees only one monitor
