Hello! My girlfriend is in the process of writing her diploma, unfortunately someone was playing with the computer on which she is writing her diploma and turned on the grids in the word, they do not print, but they are very disturbing when writing and I cannot get rid of this trash! I will only add that it uses word 2000.

Take a screenshot because I don't really know what grids are going on.

Maybe choose a different option in the view menu?

Maybe you have the display of special characters turned on, ie enter spaces, etc. This is a bar icon like the number "Pi". Or:
View; Toolbars; Customize; (View; Show All)

When writing in the word, we see a blank page and we write on it, while in the case of the Girl the "page" of the document looks just like a page from a squared notebook. And I will take a screenshot in the near future because this computer is not at my place :(

It is a shame not to know such basic options of the program.
You choose from the menu: FORMAT> BACKGROUND and there No fill, and no fill is a problem out of your head ;)

Well, I don't have to be ashamed because this option does not remove these boxes!
When selecting a view: there are no grids as a page, and when selecting a page layout view, there are no grids :(
    And it looks like this:

See the drawing. In the background a grid, in the foreground a window with filling effects. The background can also be a texture, but the problem is the background and it is in this place, which I wrote about earlier, that you set or remove the background. If not, then you have to turn off FORMAT> BACKGROUND> "printed watermark" or FORMAT> "theme"

And unfortunately all the combinations don't help, probably the best solution is to uninstall and install word :(

I don't know if it will help. Take a screenshot, it is very difficult to diagnose so blind. If not a screenshot, maybe insert a piece of text saved in your program so that we can find out about the problem.
You definitely have something to do with the background or other additional effects.

It seems to me that this is neither the background nor the pattern, buddy md since they don't respect margins while working, the answer is in my colleague's screenshot, just the gridline function in drawing options has been turned on.

My friend Arrow in the drawing options (you have it turned on, judging by the screenshot), go to the "grid" menu and uncheck the "Display grid lines on screen" option there.

    Screen for ease of use

The fact, I admit without beating, was not looking at the posts up and the author of the question posted a screen much later, hence in my reply a request to upload a screenshot or a file excerpt.
A little note. If the author of the question translated a bit and asked it properly with the screenshot attached, the matter would be finished in the second post and so we have 10 posts.

So the matter is very simple, namely at the top of the word there is the last tab view, you click on it and check the grid lines and that's it
    the mesh disappears

    greetings
