Hello! I have a problem that when in some electronic scheme there are meanings such as vdd and vss, I immediately give up their implementation because I don't know what it is and where to connect it 
from what I know, it's probably masses, but where is it connected in the system ?? please be understanding because I am just starting my adventure with electronics

eg with symmetrical voltage supply, there is a separate ground potential and must not be connected to Vss
