    Welcome!

I have read so far that you need PL7-2 software for this PLC. I generally deal with Omron and here came a machine with such an archaism and I'm trying to communicate with it somehow.
If anyone has this soft, please contact me.

By the way this is a technical question.
The controller is in STOP mode - how do you flip it into RUN mode - probably programmatically from the software (that's how it is on the Omron), but does the Tele have that too?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

Here's the thing, on the electrode there is, in fact I posted something like the below myself:

    Soft

Attached is some interface to this invention, maybe something will help.
I'll add, I got this schematic from a fellow forum member, I'm not the author, but supposedly this is the interface for this hardware.

    Greetings

Enclosed I am sending the soft Pl7_2. The program is installed only from floppy disks and works under DOS. To create floppy disks, run the * .bat file from the Interface directory (one diskette), and then the * .bat file from the Pl7-2 directory (two diskettes). The installation consists in installing Interface first, and then Pl7-2. When creating floppy disks, I recommend that you make a copy of the directories beforehand, because files are lost from the disk after rewriting them to floppy disks.

Thanks very much for the quick answer - I downloaded the soft one and the diagram also.
Now I will see what can be done with this archaism

Do the current PLC Telemecanique - NANO, MICRO have the same interface - the difference is only in the plug, or is the system completely different?

I don't know if this interface fits with other PLCs from this company. Maybe someone will comment on this.

    best regards

    Welcome!

I will have the cable soon.
I've already installed the soft and run around a bit - good old DOS :)
I also downloaded the manual for my TSX171 4002 V:1.4 driver

So far I don't know what's wrong with it - the STOP light is on. Does anyone perhaps have a better idea - what should be done about this problem next? Programmatically I'm running RUN mode, or some other French invention.

The manual says that the language for my model is PL7-1. Will this software, what EDWAKU stated PL7-2, work with my controller, or should I look for an even older software?

    Hello!

I've started struggling with this controller and haven't connected to it yet, and already something is puzzling me.
    The battery light is on.
The battery inserted in this controller is a 3 volt battery soldered to the original terminals. I assumed it was without capacity, but I measured it and it has 3 volts.
The original battery plug has 4 pins - 3 with wires. This battery was connected to the extreme ones and one wire was cut off.

Does anyone know what the original battery is, what this third wire is for, with the no battery diode on, am I able to establish communication with the PLC and more importantly flip the program from the EEPROM to the PLC?

    Thanks for the information

Hello, Could you tell me in more detail how to install the PL-2, because I can't, Thank you

My friend, I had a similar problem with this invention. I took a few days to install and try to connect.
At one point I said enough and wrote a new program faster for a different plc.
The machine has been running for 3 years and I sleep soundly.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Telemecanique TSX171 PLC and the necessary software for communication, specifically PL7-2. Users share resources for obtaining the software, which operates under DOS and requires floppy disks for installation. There are inquiries about switching the PLC from STOP to RUN mode, with suggestions that this may be software-controlled. The conversation also touches on compatibility with newer Telemecanique models and issues related to battery connections and communication setup. Users express challenges in establishing communication and transferring programs from EEPROM to the PLC.
