For some time now, the oil pressure indicator has started flashing with a beeping sound even at a standstill, when descending from high revs. The oil was changed, but not in the service and only now I deleted the service and oil settings. The oil condition is correct. What could be causing this behavior?

or there is no silence  or a faulty sensor :D
blood pressure monitor, measurement and after diagnosis

Or do you remember what the value of this pressure should be and what thread the oil pressure sensor has? I want to take a manometer from work to measure.

if you haven't messed up anywhere, check if the plug on the shaft or on the oil pump has not opened.

I disconnected the battery for a while to clear the stored faults. It didn't light up on a test drive yesterday. We'll see how it goes. The car has only 23,000 km on it. I know that anything is possible, but for now I will not check the plugs.
ps: I also sprayed "contact" on the electrical contacts of the sensor connection.

you have a good way to delete errors, but maybe it's better with a scanner

deleting errors by disconnecting the battery does not help, only older cars have it

Since I do not have a scanner for this car's computer, there is nothing else to do but go to a Skoda service center if the problem persists.
ps: what scanner do your colleagues recommend to buy for further research and what is the cost?

If you are from Silesia, write an e-mail and we will make an appointment and check this motor with Vag.

Connect an ordinary pressure gauge, the pressure should be within 1atm. up to 3atm. Its size depends on the speed, temperature, type of oil, etc. The matter is very important, it may cause engine failure.

I connected the manometer. It is true that the thread is not an inch and that was a problem, but the pressure on the starter was 1 bar, and when it started to work it exceeded 3 bar and it could not be sealed by hand pressure. The pressure is fine. I checked the pressure sensor with a pump with a manometer. It closes the contacts at 1 bar and opens at this pressure on the drop. So the sensor is OK in my opinion. I've been to the mechanic. He plugged into the connector and ran a test. There were only occasional errors, but he claims that when the sensors were disconnected while the engine was running, that's how it was saved and that everything is OK with the engine. He suggested bad contacts on the dashboard, especially since the car is hardly driven. We'll see what happens next. Regards.

i.e. measurement to d__y because you have not observed what happens to the pressure when descending from high revs.

    ps. SKODA or VW engine??

    It's a Skoda engine.
ps: Knock on wood, for two days it didn't light up even once while driving.

Unfortunately, the failure has not been resolved. The car was again at an authorized service where the oil sensor was immediately replaced and of course the next day the oil light was on. During such ignition, I made the following test: I took off the electric wire from the sensor and nothing, the light continued to flash, then I connected this wire to the engine ground and nothing, the light continued to flash. Everything indicates that this signal is not from the sensor. Does this signal go through the computer bus or directly to the instrument panel? You can see that it's not the sensor that sends it. Good people say there may be tarnished contacts on the instrument panel? What do you think.

Failure removed at the Skoda Dealership. Damaged electrical wires in the wiring harness (cracked insulation). Thank you for the hints. I close the topic.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Skoda Fabia 1.4 experiencing a flashing oil pressure light and beeping sound at standstill after an oil change. The user initially suspected a faulty sensor or wiring issues. They checked the oil pressure using a manometer, confirming that the pressure was within acceptable limits. Despite disconnecting the battery to clear faults, the issue persisted. A visit to a mechanic revealed occasional errors, but the engine was deemed fine. Ultimately, the problem was traced to damaged electrical wires in the wiring harness, which were repaired at a Skoda dealership, resolving the issue.
