Hello, I have a question, so I went to the electronics because parts from this list:

    Capacitors:
    1x330nF
    1x33nF
    1x22nF
    1x2.2nF - Styroflex
    2x220nF
    1x100nF - Ceramic
    Rotary Potentiometers (PRT type):
    3x47K
    Resistors:
    1x1K
    1x10K

And the electronics engineer asked me about the development of these abbreviations because he only knows their full names. Could you give me these developments?

And I have a second question, are all capacitors nF in this diagram? are there also uF? Here is the link:

Let someone check this diagram and tell me what capacitors are there.
For useful information there will be points "helped".

This "electronics" is strange ;) )

    pF - picofarad 0.000000000001 (10 ^ -12 F)
    nF - nanofarad 0.000000001 F (10 ^ -9 F) = 1000pF
    uF - microfarad 0.000001 F (10 ^ -6 F) = 1000 nF = 1000000pF

in the figure, the capacitance values are in nanofarads and the resistor values are in kilohms

    uF - microfarads
    nF - nanofarads
    k - kilo (1000)

Read about the basic units used in electronics.

Thanks for the answers, he will give you two points after the point, although foxik wrote practically the same, but it was a matter of a few minutes and he gives too good intentions :)

    But great K. written separately means a tolerance of ? 10 % and next J. - ? 5 % , M. - ? 20 %

In which electronics store in Mielec did you ask? :D

It was not in the store, but my dad's friend, an electronics technician, asked so :) and I see that my friend also from Mielec :) I was supposed to go to Hobby Electronics but my dad said he would ask electronics, and where have they moved to Hobby Electronics? Because, for example, in TBG, when I was, I couldn't find an electronic store, and best of all, if I asked for a LPT plug in a computer, some pacan brought me RJ-45 :) :) I thought I couldn't stand it :)

the hobby electronics is where it has always been, i.e. on the passage, and the other two electronic ones are one in the market hall and the other where there was a battering ram before, there are two stores of the same company. Regards

Good to know because I heard it is elsewhere :) and I do not live exactly in Mielec, but not far away, it is Wojkow (where Balaton :) ) Near Padua Nar.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the abbreviations used for capacitor and resistor values in electronics, specifically focusing on uF (microfarad), nF (nanofarad), and K (kilo). Participants clarify that 1 uF equals 1000 nF and provide the full names of the abbreviations. The user also inquires about the types of capacitors present in a provided diagram, which predominantly features values in nanofarads. Additional comments include a light-hearted exchange about local electronics stores and their locations.
