Raspberry Pi 3B vs Raspberry Pi 3B + minicomputer comparison.
Article from Micros

Everyone has probably heard about the Raspberry Pi. The popularity of this miniature computer exceeded all expectations. This SBC platform is constantly evolving. Recently, RPi2 and RPi3 have been the subjects of frequent comparisons. We currently have two models of version three: RPi3B and RPi3B +. The new RPi3B + model will remain in production until at least 2023.

CPU: the 3B + version has a clocked Broadcom BCM2837B0 chip 1.4GHz (Cortex-A53 ARMv8 64-bit SoC),
version 3B is BCM2837 @ 1.2GHz (both GPU: Broadcom VideoCore IV). The SoC version 3B + has a partially metal housing for the integrated circuit.

RAM: we have both 3B + and 3B versions 1GB RAM.

WiFi: in the 3B + version we have WiFi 802.11.b / g / n / ac 2.4GHz and 5GHz ,
in version 3B 2.4GHz .

Bluetooth: In 3B + BLE 4.2 ,
in 3B BLE 4.1 .

LAN: in 3B + GBE (limited to 300Mbps via USB2.0) and power supply PoE via PoE HAT,
in version 3B FastEthernet 100Mb / s.

USB: in both cases 4x USB2.0.

Interfaces: in both casesGPIO, CSI Camera Port, Touchpad Display DSI Port, Stereo Audio Out, and HDMI Out.

The 3B + version, thanks to the increased SoC clock speed, provides the computing power increased by several percent.
Increased computing power translates into higher power consumption in the 3B + model (if necessary, we can lower the SoC timing).
In terms of communication, we get 3x greater LAN bandwidth and dual-band WiFi.
By default, Rpi3B + is ready to boot from a micro SD card or USB stick.

Which changes to RPi 3B + do you find useful, what functionalities should appear in the next versions of the Raspberry Pi?

What possibilities should the successors of the 3B + model have, a SATA connector, better energy management, and maybe a connector for powering and charging a Li-ion battery?

I find that the font looks bad when enlarged and bold at the beginning of the article. I miss a SATA connector. If not for this, I would have bought it. [Read more]

Sorry for digging up the topic, but in my opinion, USB 3.0 should be replaced by USB 3.0, then everything else for SATA would make sense to plug in USB 3.0. [Read more]
