    Hello to everything.
I have a question, does anyone know a program in which it is possible to bind sounds to keyboard keys. It was supposed to resemble "computer drums", loads a few samples for different keys and play. I was looking for but nowhere can I find something like this: /. Thanks in advance.

    Hello
I think that not only I have unsuccessfully searched Google.
I remember that in the days of Win 3.11 there was such a program along with the Sound Blaster drivers. Maybe someone will remember something based on this information.

For my part, I looked through my resources (2 shoe boxes) and did not find. I still have a cardboard box with floppy disks. In the evening I will work on it, if I find I will let you know.

virtual DJ has a function that allows you to assign 12 samples to the keyboard keys.

I do not mean a synthesizer, but a program for which I will give sounds myself and assign them to selected keys on the keyboard.

But from what I remember, in Virtual Dj it worked so that when you pressed the samples, the samples turned on and when you pressed a second time, you turned them off. My point is that the sample should turn off by itself, as I wrote in the first post, it would be a kind of "percussion on the keyboard" so the VDJ option is unfortunately not suitable.

Is there any free program ??
I probably searched everything I can, it is a simple program that only assigns the appropriate sound to the key and nowhere can I find such something: /.

Krucafuks ... modplug is a tracker. Something where you take "samples" from waves. Normally a sample is taken from one or a few notes and the rest of the keys are interpolated, but you can create a new instrument and assign your own wave to each note. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracker

My point is that I can "play the keyboard". I need a program in which I could assign a different key of a computer keyboard different wavy with drum sounds. For example, the "q" key will switch to the "1.wav" file, and the "w" key will switch to the "2.wav" file. And so I would like to make "keyboard drums".

Music 2000 by Codemasters, very hard to get - I don't know the website address.
Somewhere, I have a demo version on CD, maybe I'll find it.

As for the paid ones, I recommend Addictive Drums

    PS. It's worth missing here:

FL also has the ability to sample. Even cool stuff when you record a text with your own voice and then sample it. That's it.
    Besides, the program sucks.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around finding a software program that allows users to bind custom sound samples to keyboard keys, effectively creating a "computer drums" setup. The original poster seeks a simple solution where they can assign specific audio files to designated keys, enabling a percussion-like experience. Various suggestions are made, including Virtual DJ, EZ Drummer, and ModPlug, but the original poster clarifies that they require a program that allows for automatic sample playback without needing to toggle them on and off. Other mentioned software includes Music 2000 by Codemasters, Addictive Drums, and FL Studio, with some users reminiscing about older programs from the Win 3.11 era. The search for a free and straightforward solution continues, with users expressing frustration over the lack of suitable options.
