Motherboard Cleaning: Using Denatured Alcohol or Extraction Gasoline - Safe or Damaging?

Can I safely clean a dirty motherboard with denatured alcohol or extraction gasoline?

Use isopropanol/propanol instead of extraction gasoline, and treat denatured alcohol only with caution because it can leave residue. For a thorough wash, one reply recommends rinsing the board in distilled water with a brush, drying it, then washing or spraying it with isopropanol on both sides, and drying it again very well [#5993568] Another reply says denatured alcohol is not “pure” alcohol and leaves sediment, so if it is used at all, it should be followed by a rinse with drinking спирit/ethanol; it also says propanol would be the best choice [#8725190] A shorter answer adds that if you are cleaning with fluid, the fluid should be isopropanol [#5990020] For dust only, compressed air is mentioned as the safest option, but not as a washing method [#5990269]

    Brush quite wide, not too big, or compressed air. If the fluid is just isopropanol.

    Compressed air will probably be the safest.

    Read clearly what the author wrote. He means washing the motherboard, and as far as I know, it will not wash the motherboard with compressed air. Well, unless you've seen compressed air that is used to wash the motherboard, provide the link - I'll be happy to see it.

    And what are these emotions for? I got it wrong and that's it, I'm only human.

    When it comes to literal washing, as someone has already written - isopropanol.

    Hello.
    I washed my CD with a damp cloth ...
    Then I waited for it to dry very well and plugged it in.

    Regards.

    1. Thorough washing in distilled water (with a brush);
    2. Drying;
    3. Washing in isopropanol or sprinkling the plate thoroughly with isopropanol on both sides (we do not regret isopropanol, it should drip off it);
    4. Thorough final drying;

    I just had the disc disconnected.

    And extraction gasoline would not be suitable, because I do not even know where to buy this isopropanol?

    You can buy isopropanol without any problems on Allegro.
    Chemical stores are another option, they should have. And in the latter case, electronics stores.

    How about oil?

    Isopropanol 1 / L costs about PLN 10.00
    I recently bought 5 / L on the Allegro for a total of 45.00 PLN.

    so it will be left to clean the disc with Isopropanol, and a soft brush would also be useful.

    "Borrow" brush from a friend / sister / mother / wife (delete as appropriate ;-) ) - seriously - pay special attention when washing (that is - do it very carefully) on places with small gaps between elements / leads - that there is nothing superfluous "left".

    Can a flooded plate be cleaned with colorless denatured alcohol? I am going to clean it, but I do not know if I can use this product? With a brush? I will add that the laptop motherboard.

    Theoretically yes - although I would be careful - denatured alcohol is not "pure" spirit / alcohol, it leaves a sediment (after "washing" with denatured alcohol, I washed / rinsed in food spirit). Of course, propanol would be the best (maybe you would consider whether it is better to buy a liter of propanol - at least through POCh)

    But I'd better buy propanol and leave the denatured alcohol to clean other things.
    Thanks for the answer

    I would like to remind you that propanol, like alcohol - is flammable - flammability class 2 (same as explosiveness) - moreover, see also on Wiki
