Renault Cabasse Tronic 6CD – 12-pin LCD/DATA pinout for Scenic 2006?

Best answers

Can I connect a Renault Cabasse Tronic 6CD/MP3 unit to a Scenic 2006 in place of the original CD player, and what is the 12-pin LCD/data pinout?

Yes, a digital changer can replace the factory changer and work like a clone, including track skipping, if it belongs to the same Renault/Cabasse setup [#14519460] However, another reply warns that the Cabasse Tronic is part of the Cabasse Carminat DVD system, so different Renault audio/display combinations may not match and the display protocol may be incompatible [#6599263] The thread does not provide a complete 12-pin LCD/data pinout; the original poster only says they dismantled the unit and found pin labels on the board [#6177783]

    Hello
    I have a radio integrated with a changer for 6CD + MP3 - Cabasse Tronic.
This is Clarion for Renault (this play is said to be from Scenica 2007).
I want to connect it to Scenic 2006, in which I currently have a CD RENRDW347-15 on the "lying" ISO connector + yellow mini-iso for communication with the LCD and the steering wheel.
The problem is that this Cabasse (Clarion) has a 2 row 12 connector, a pin for which I have not been able to find a schematic for a month. I would especially need a DATA pinout, etc. for the LCD (preferably the entire connector).
Maybe someone knows if it can be connected instead of my CD - maybe the communication protocols are different and there is no reason to bother.
Best regards and thank you for all your help.

    Welcome back.
The topic turned out to be difficult - no response - so I dismantled the equipment and found the pin descriptions on the board - below I made a list (view from the pins, NOT solders). Contacts marked N / C? they are hardly used.
It also turned out that the equipment is rather DECK-type without an amplifier (I did not find any terminals in the middle, and the L and R tracks are very thin).
    I have got some questions:
    - which contacts (TXD and RXD - you know) are for communication with LCD? In my Philips, I have 5 contacts in the yellow mini-ISO C3 (7 wires because some of them are bridged)
    - I would need a description of the pins of the above-mentioned yellow mini-ISO in the new PH-Renault 2006 UpdateList (photo below) - at studio24.prv.pl I did not find the names of these pins.
Maybe now, when the situation is a little clearer, someone realizes if my effort makes sense.
Best regards and thank you for any suggestions.

I do not know if it will be hard, because this changer is for cabasse carminat dvd system. I have one in Espace and it's a deck, the amplifier is an additional and an additional dvd / bluetooth (1din) reader. It may be the same situation as I used to have. I had a Laguna from 99 r and I wanted to put a cd TunerList from Laguna 2. The radio could not be matched with the display.

Do you know where the amplifier for this Cabasse Tronic is located in the Renault Espace 2007 ?? It's not in the trunk for sure. I had Laguna II and there was a changer there.

I'm going to replace the factory speakers in my Scenik, I have the same radio and I'm looking for a hint if an external amplifier can be connected to it. Is there a separate exit, can it be done?
Never pulled this radio out, no keys but not a problem, you can buy it.
I mean the possibility of connecting an amplifier.
    Can anyone help?

I have the same 6cd changer with tuner control, which is in the passenger compartment + navi DVD and bluetooth above the changer along with a large display, joypad and steering wheel control. Unfortunately, the disc dispensing mechanism has fallen irreversibly and this is where my question arises, is it possible to connect a digital changer via a blue ISO to the tuner so as to maintain compatibility with the rest of the devices? Or are the pins in this connector also pins for controlling or displaying info and it won't work?

Yes, you can, I used the digital changer myself instead of the factory one, it literally works like its clone. You can even skip songs quickly :D .

Are you sure you had the same "set" of equipment? 6 cd changer with radio control (tuner in glove box)? On many forums people write that according to the manufacturer it does not work with this "radio" / changer. It works when you have a separate radio, separate changer (where I have navi DVD).

In fact, I had just the Tuner List radio and plugged it in instead of the changer I had in the trunk.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around connecting a Cabasse Tronic radio with a 6CD changer to a Renault Scenic 2006 model. The user seeks a connector diagram, particularly for the DATA pinout for LCD communication, as the existing setup involves a different CD player (RENRDW347-15) with ISO connectors. Responses indicate that the Cabasse Tronic is a DECK-type unit without an integrated amplifier, and there are inquiries about the location of the amplifier in related Renault models. Some users share experiences with compatibility issues between different radio and changer setups, while others confirm that digital changers can be connected to maintain functionality. The conversation highlights the complexity of integrating various audio components in Renault vehicles.
