    Hello, I already have some experience with the Nexo system. We are currently working with one of the universities in Szczecin, where we are testing the system’s capabilities in larger facilities, and at the moment everything we planned is working as intended, namely: the alarm system, power management; in the near future, the system is also set to control the school’s heating. These may seem like minor details, but the number of rooms involved in this project is significant, and as a result, we are already dealing with marginal quantities of components that are or will be used. In terms of programming, the Nexo system is limited only by the ingenuity of the installer or client, and it is quite a pleasure to configure.

    I can’t agree with that statement; I know quite a few people who use this system and are very pleased with it. The system is great because it’s Polish, which means the technical support is absolutely brilliant.

    What’s more, the system operates more like a PLC than a PC, which ensures stable operation.

    Unfortunately, I am not authorised to disclose such information unless the owner of the premises where the Nexo system is installed expresses a desire to ‘show off’ this fact themselves. I haven’t personally checked whether anyone has written anywhere about their impressions of Nexo.

    On the Nexwell website, you can read that the system is used by KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. in Sobno, and that in itself may be an indication of the system’s stability, at least in my opinion.

    From an installer’s point of view, I can tell you that at the site where we’re implementing the system, I haven’t noticed any signs of instability, admittedly, not all features have been implemented yet, but so far we’ve only had one issue with the system, which was caused by an oversight on our part. However, the staff at Nexwell helped us sort it out and everything started working as it should, so I have great confidence in their technical support.

    Hello. As a home automation installer, I can highly recommend the NEXO system from Nexwell. Among its many features, it is worth highlighting, first and foremost, its high operational stability, its relatively moderate price, and the fact that, as a 100% Polish product, it comes with excellent technical support. The system is also very easy to programme. By default, the components come without any instructions, but these can be found on the manufacturer’s website without much difficulty. Various examples of how the system can be used can be found on our “ smart home forum ”. The truth is that the system can control anything that has any kind of control contacts. In addition, I know that modules enabling the control of audio-video devices via infrared are currently being tested. It will then be possible, for example, to switch on the TV, select a programme, start recording and much more from a mobile phone or tablet.     A warm welcome to you all.
    I used to describe my feelings and impressions of the system in somewhat exaggerated terms, believing that ironing out the ‘minor glitches’ would only take a few days. Well, three years have gone by:-( (

    I am indeed one of Nexwell’s first customers, and certainly the only one so far with such an extensive (in theory only – unfortunately) option.

    I’ve had the system at my place for over three years now, and so far it hasn’t been possible (through Nexwell’s fault) to complete the installation, and there’s currently no way to sign the handover report.

    I recently learnt from the company owner that they are unable to cope with such an extensive installation (I should mention that the cabling to all the sensors was laid over three years ago in accordance with the guidelines provided by Michał Kowalczyk from Nexwell – email correspondence) and have proposed two solutions to me:
    1. limiting the number of sensors to that specified in the main contract (despite the fact that they issued me with a VAT invoice for the additionally purchased modules and displays), claiming that the remaining components were installed at my premises at my own risk – is the VAT VAT invoice is issued for the equipment or for the risk?
    2. purchasing the Verso system from Nexo instead (apparently the cabling will be compatible and the system itself operates reliably).

    If Nexwell fails to complete the installation within 30 days, I will take legal action to demand that they complete the work or officially admit that they are unable to offer their customers even a semblance of a ‘smart installation’ and compensation for three years of torment at home and the costs I have incurred.

    Whilst I’m at it, I’ll find out whether, when selling me electronic components, they held the relevant certificates and approvals – last December, all the heat sinks in my home had to be replaced because they were so hot that it was impossible to touch them, and there was a risk of fire.

    I invite all potential customers interested in testing the stability of the system’s ‘operation’ on a living organism, as well as those who, like me, are waiting and waiting and waiting for Nexwell to get the system they ordered to operate reasonably stably, to come and see me.

    Hello, I haven’t been here for a while, and since I’ve said ‘A’, I suppose I have to say ‘B’ too, hehe

    About two years ago, I met with Michał Kowalczyk from Nexwell to try and reach an agreement (that would satisfy both parties), and we both agreed that something must be wrong, given that, even though the system is stable and operates on hundreds of projects, I’m still experiencing problems all the time.

    Each party decided to do their utmost to get the system back on track.
    As I’ve mentioned before, my house was one of the first to have Nexo installed, and as is often the case in such situations (necessity is the mother of invention), some of the components installed were still prototypes, both in terms of hardware and software.

    We agreed that, since the cabling was fine, we needed to standardise the software, and that is exactly what we did – I dismantled the components and sent them to Nexwell; they uploaded the new software and sent them back to be refitted.
    In addition, I went through all the logic that had been uploaded and found a few instances that were causing conflicts and loops – these were removed.

    It took a while, but…… we managed it :-)

    As of today (more than a year on), the situation is that although the system hasn’t been stripped down, it has in fact been further enhanced with additional components (programmable buttons, RGB LED lighting controllers, etc.).) everything works flawlessly :-)

    The Nexo system is stable; it hasn’t crashed once. A whole host of logic has been added, and yet it’s still better than veeeery good :-) The system basically controls everything on its own, but if I want to step in and take control myself, as well as the LCD panels, I also have software available on my tablet, mobile and laptop :-)

    I can recommend it to anyone with a clear conscience,

    and, looking back, I don’t even regret how things turned out because I learnt a lot from the experience – although I’m not an electronics engineer, I’m now able to install a system like this, or even a more complex one, all by myself without anyone’s help :-)

    The moral of this story is that it’s definitely better to talk things through than to argue :-)

    I have a number of modules scattered around the house (they didn’t have DIN rails three years ago), and there are roughly:

    50 dimmable light fittings
    40 sockets
    18 roller shutters (modules in the control unit)
    16 infrared barriers
    5 control panels – only 4 are working
    41 reed switches,
    3 controllers for swimming pool pumps and the water booster
    50 Elmes radio link channels
    7 light level sensors
    10 thermostats for underfloor heating and fan coil units
    1 Nexo thermometer
    1 CCTV card – practically non-functional
    1 heat pump controller – Daikin Altherma – on numerous occasions, the Nexo system automatically switches from cooling to heating in the middle of the night, and I wake up drenched in sweat
    5 sprinkler sections in the garden
    5 flood sensors
    3 solenoid valves for topping up the water in the swimming pool and garden hot tub
    9 indoor PIR sensors
    8 outdoor dual-mode PIR sensors
    Rokonet alarm system – I never trusted Nexwell; it only changes its status after the Rokonet is armed and also allows it to be armed and disarmed via the control panel
    GSM card – operational reliability approx. 20 to 30%
    A whole load of input/output cards, OC, Tukan and others

    and probably something else I can’t remember right now

    Additionally, right from the start I was promised:
    1. IRDA controllers allowing TVs to be operated via touchscreens (the wiring, laid over three years ago, hangs elegantly from the wall in every room),
    2. remote control via the internet – they installed the LAN card three times and only managed to connect twice
    3. camera footage on the displays
    etc., etc.

    The problem is that the system is extremely unstable. Virtually all the logic functions have already been disabled to avoid overloading it further, yet it still refuses to cooperate.
    If you don’t restart the control unit every two days, it’ll crash at an unexpected moment, and I’m left to deal with the consequences – for example, it’ll switch on the sprinklers in the morning but then decide it doesn’t want to switch them off, leaving me with a swamp in the garden for half the day, and so on.

    I’ve spent a fortune on this system and, on top of that, I’ve lost my health and my nerves, and I won’t allow Nexwell to fail to complete the installation. I’ve signed a contract with them and I’ll take them to court to demand either that they fulfil it or that they close down this unreliable company.

    Personally, I reckon that if they’d got down to work and focused on performance, logic, etc., there might have been a chance to make something of it; however, I know from experience that they focus more on a flashy-looking glass bezel for the LCD display than on ensuring the system’s stability.

    As for customer support – well, no comment.

    Everything I’m writing about is documented in emails and letters from them – the most recent one from a solicitor in which they indirectly admit that, after reducing the number of sensors, it might work.

    Everywhere they claim they can do so much – apparently they’ve connected a university building in Szczecin, yet they’re having trouble with a 90-metre house on a 1,000-metre plot – it’s a shame.

    The funniest thing is that they recommended the Verso system to me because the cabling would be compatible:-) )

    Added after 6 [minutes]:

    As for the cabling:
    to the displays: 2x FTP shielded twisted pair cable
    to the thermostats: 1x FTP shielded twisted pair cable
    to the programmable switches (20 units): 6x0.5
    Tukan – (this was installed by Nexwell because initially they only had radio modules which were playing up, and despite fitting repeaters There was nothing that could be done about it) 4x0.5

    There are no issues with any of the cables because, as I mentioned, the system works fine immediately after booting up (it takes over 5 minutes to load), but over time it starts throwing up errors and slowing down

    One of the Nexwell staff members uploaded the logic for switching on the light in the vestibule, and it worked for about 30 minutes after the restart, but then became increasingly erratic.

    The longer the system runs, the less well it works.

    That’s correct. I know this, as do technical experts. Nevertheless, for an investor, switching from a traditional system to a smart one – to a greater or lesser extent – involves venturing into something new and unfamiliar. It is not the fault of the user ‘krzysiek_slezany’ that he opted for the Nexwell system; rather, it is the fault of the installers/engineers who suggested it to him and then failed to get the job done properly.

    If we were to follow your line of reasoning, we’d all have the same fridges and televisions in our homes, and drive the same cars (at least in terms of make).

    I don’t know what you do for a living, but if you’re, say, an installer of such systems, and given that you don’t have a higher education qualification in this field (as far as I know, there are no such degree programmes at universities), then in principle no one should be turning to you for advice, a quote or an installation – isn’t that right?
    Why should I only choose from among the largest companies with the necessary resources, yet have the installation carried out by ‘Mr Czesio’?

    Why is it always the consumer who’s to blame here – because they made the wrong choice, rather than a dishonest seller or manufacturer? When will this way of thinking ever change!!!

    I bought a system from a legally operating company, signed a contract with them, and I simply expect them to honour it.
    This is a problem with our legislation: companies such as Nexwell manufacture, sell and install electronic devices (components) in their customers’ homes without being required to have them tested for effectiveness, approved, etc.

    I realise I’m not the only one who’s been ripped off by Nexwell, but I hope I’m one of the last.

    You’ve really made me laugh with all this nonsense you’re spouting:-) ))))))))

    It’s hard to find a sensible approach to the matter or any logical reasoning from someone in whom, apart from jealousy, envy and self-absorption, I can’t find a single other quality.

    Please do tell us what system and configuration you’ve got at home!!! You’re completely smitten with EIB – you trust them and consider this the best solution, so your house could probably serve as a show home.

    You go on at length about cars – perhaps you could tell us what you drive? I have a Mitsubishi Outlander (as you can see, not a Lamborghini), because I like that sort of car and it meets my requirements.

    As for the choice of system, the deciding factor wasn’t financial but functional. EIB didn’t (and I don’t think it still does) have the capability to install five touchscreen displays.

    You’re quick to criticise others, whether it’s for mistakes in the text or for choosing a particular solution (“you’ve only got yourself to blame”) and so on. Perhaps you could set an example for us all and write more about your own decisions – for example, what materials you used to build your house, what cars are parked in your driveway, what remote control you use to open the gate, and so on.

    That (5xLCD) is not true. You can safely edit, delete or change that :-)

    In EIB, there can be as many LCD displays as there are devices (64 per line, 15 lines, 15 zones, over 14,000). So I don’t know where this information about limitations comes from.
    Generally speaking, I have experience with installations featuring around 150 bus-connected devices (actuators, sensors, LCD panels) connected across three lines, and the number isn’t a major limitation. There aren’t any major functional limitations either – it all depends on the installer as to what they can get out of the devices and how well they can select them.

    And this is where, unfortunately, you’re mistaken, because even if the motherboard is completely switched off, you can still control the lights or the blinds (using the switches), which means that, in theory, you can still manage to get by at home.

    A bigger problem arises, for example, with the pool’s water filtration pumps, because in that case you have to go down to the cellar and switch the power supply from the Nexo to a standard socket.

    Garden sprinklers are a total disaster, as you have to operate them manually or water the garden with a hose – and that’s a major problem:-) )

    In the event of a total system crash, to get into the house (anti-burglary roller shutters), I have to switch off the main power supply and then open the door using the Nice remote control.

    The worst thing is that Nexo slows down, stops responding to commands, or the response is so slow that you start to wonder whether the command has been accepted for execution or not. There’s still no option to control it via the internet or mobile network (the SIM card constantly freezes).

    As far as I’m concerned, these are issues that, with a bit of a ‘kick up the backside’, they could sort out in a month – by putting aside their tinkering with frames and the like for the time being.

    When you read about Nexo’s capabilities, you get the impression they’ve got it all, and that’s true – they do have everything – but none of it has been properly fine-tuned.
    During training, when they plug a GSM card into the control panel, it works; a LAN card – that works too; CCTV – likewise; but when you connect everything together and add 200 sensors, several dozen modules for lighting and socket control, roller blinds, light sensors, etc., the system feels so overworked that the only thing it fancies is a NAP!!!:-)

    And how do you control all of this in an EIB system if the control unit fails, and with it the LCD display? Do you have switches connected to everything?

    I’m talking about what happens when the control unit fails, taking the displays and remote controls down with it. How is this handled in EIB? Does the sprinkler controller have a built-in watering programme – i.e. a timer, humidity sensor, etc.?

    I’m not familiar with the KNX/EIB system and won’t comment on it – from what you’ve said, it seems you’re not familiar with the NEXO system, yet you’re trying to spread misinformation.
    The light and blinds connected to the IB system function normally even if the motherboard is faulty.

    I don’t know what the IB system is, but apparently NEXO doesn’t have it. A live wire runs through the wall-mounted sockets, which is switched on and off by a push-button switch (a bell-type switch connected directly to the socket via a 4x0.5 cable) and that’s perfectly sufficient; it’s also connected via a 4x0.5 cable to the control unit so that it can be operated from screens, logic modules, text messages or, in the distant future, the internet:-) )

    You can easily switch the light on even when the control unit (main board) is switched off.
