Press and hold the two extreme buttons at the same time until the dot starts to flash. Then set the desired time / hour clockwise or counterclockwise.

When you disconnect from the power, you should wait for a while (mine lasts for about 5 minutes). I might be wrong because I'm not home, but try pressing both arrows at once. Mistake. You have to hold the middle button for a long time.
