About a year ago my friend chose an economic package and got it after almost a month. I haven't heard of longer cases, but they do happen sometimes ;)

When I was a postman, I found out that the record delay was ... 20 years :D the letter was lost in the office and they found it only during the renovation :D Although it was a regular letter, the postman delivered it in person, and the sender was very surprised that he was getting a letter from a long-dead man :D

It has not come to this day. It was probably sent in May ...

I just found out they refunded his money. Not bad. I wonder who has a few CPLDs :D

It should be noted that in 2009 the post office went on strike and it was different with their services. I always choose an economical package on the Allegro and it has not happened to me that it will come later than 5 days.

I bought the book, I paid the cash on June 30, 2010 on June 1, 2010 the seller wrote to an e-mail that the package had been sent.

Today it is July 8, 2010

The package was delivered by the postman and I am satisfied.

    To sum up:

The package sent by economy package goes within a week or additionally, as in my case, one week and one day.

So there is nothing to worry about and it will happen anyway, but if someone is impatient and cares about the package Very much (just like me :D ), I strongly recommend other delivery options:

    Priority parcel (PLN 5)
Priority cash on delivery (PLN 14)

I guess these values are constant

That ensure the fastest delivery time in a week for paying for the ordered item.

    Regards

You mixed up something with these prices.

Instead of shooting, you can always check the source: http://www.poczta-polska.pl/cennik.htm ;)

Recently, I transferred money at the post office and it was delivered to the recipient after 3 days. A 2-day economic shipment from one end of Poland to the other.

If you made the payment at the post office before 3 p.m., the recipient should be in for 2 days, and if after 3 p.m., he will have only after 2 days ;) better to go to a bank or pko agency and make a payment there ;)

As I wrote earlier (and it is still valid) ...
    Quote:
Econom comes within 3 days, priority the next day, provided that it has been posted by the hour
    - 17 in the provincial city
    - 16 in the district city
    - 15 in the provinces
If the package was posted at a later time, it should be expected a day later.

The main reason for the delays is BITCHES which the sorting machine cannot read. The machine reads the zip code. If someone scribbles and instead of 12-345 the machine reads 72-345, the letter will go to another province and only there (maybe) they will notice that something is wrong.

I understand that in the case of economic parcels, the postman also leaves an advice note if no one is at home?

Yes of course. Even for regular letters that do not fit in the mailbox.

I had a priority package that once went from Gorzów Wielkopolski to Bytom (about 600-700 km difference). One day it was sent on Monday and I had it on Tuesday evening. And another time the economic package went for a week from the town 30 km from my home ... FOR 2 WEEKS !!!

So always take priority because economic is not known, it is a waste of nerves for economics. The economic ones go from 3 days to 1 month (on Christmas from a week to 2 months)

I had an economic package for 3 days (about 0.25 kg), and a package of about 25 kg for a week and the postman (friend) said that she could stand like that for a week (no one wanted to take it) but he saw it for me.

Can an economy parcel really take weeks or never arrive?

Is paying extra for priority shipping worth it?

Priority usually arrives next day to 3 days [Elektroda, leonow32 #6986954; foris1994 #9442044]. Cost uplift is about 5 PLN for prepaid, 14 PLN COD [Elektroda, calibra70 #8273281]. Faster delivery and tracking reduce loss risk.

Does the time of day I post affect speed?

Yes. Mail accepted before 17:00 (voivodeship), 16:00 (district), 15:00 (rural) enters the same-day dispatch stream [Elektroda, leonow32 #6986954]. Later posting adds one working day.

My parcel is 27 kg—any special rules?

Domestic parcels can weigh up to 30 kg; packages 20–30 kg often move slower because vans have limited space [Elektroda, slu_1982 #7243631]. Ensure stout packaging and mark “CIĘŻKIE 27 kg”. Carrier may levy heavy-item surcharge [Poczta Polska Tariff].

What if my economy parcel gets lost—how do I file a claim?

  1. Wait 14 days beyond expected delivery [Poczta Polska Regulations].

Yes. Economy parcels require signature; the carrier leaves an advice slip for pick-up at the post office if nobody answers [Elektroda, leonow32 #9280042].

How can I avoid address-reading errors that slow sorting?

Print labels in clear 12 pt sans-serif, include full postcode, house and flat numbers. "Machines read zip codes first" [Elektroda, leonow32 #9231504].

Are courier services like UPS faster than Polish Post?

UPS next-day service delivered Wrocław–Lublin overnight [Elektroda, janusz27 #6990708]. Couriers cost more but provide tracking and predictable 24-48 h windows.

3-step how-to: print a machine-friendly label

  1. Type sender and recipient details in a word processor.
  2. Use 12 pt Arial, bold postcode.
  3. Print, cut and tape flat to parcel. This prevents illegible handwriting delays [Elektroda, jakimov #9233217].

Does a postal strike change delivery estimates?

Yes. During the 2009 strike, users noted longer and inconsistent times [Elektroda, MluMlu #7791432]. Factor extra days during industrial action.

What’s the biggest cause of delay besides strikes?

Misread or incorrect postcodes send mail to wrong provinces, adding days [Elektroda, leonow32 #9231504]. Printing labels minimizes this error.
