Hello, as a new dishwasher user, I have a few questions:
During the first firing, it was written to pour water into the tank at the bottom (for salt). So I did.
After finishing washing, I turned on and there is still a lot of water until it spills out a little.
How much will this water stand there? I will not use salt there because I think I will go to 3in1 immediately.

    Now:
    1) What pills do you recommend? (how long is 1 tablet enough to wash?)
    2) It is better to use tablets or buy salt, rinse aid and some powders ... what will be more expensive? ....

You are making a serious mistake.
3 in1 is a marketing gimmick. Salt in the dishwasher is essential. The phenomenon you describe is quite normal - after unscrewing the salt container lid, there should be a lot of water there.

One tablet is usually enough for one wash ...... :)

You bought an expensive dishwasher and now you want to finish it quickly?
Rather, do not use tablets !!! they are convenient, but in time you will cut the dishwasher and the SIEMENS service costs ......

I also poured water into the salt container the first time but I didn't get any more of it.
    1. As for tablets, I do not buy some super expensive ones, I recommend those from LIDL W5 or something like that. And, of course, one tablet for one wash.
    2. I personally think that it is better to use each measure separately. You can then adjust the amount of each of them to the washing conditions, i.e. mainly to the hardness of the water.

Oh, because I was scared that the water standing there was something bad ... or if it would be standing there * ...

And why is using tablets to kill the dishwasher if it is dedicated by the manufacturer to 3in1? ... ;)

And these funds (separately) what I have to buy because I do not know completely :P I just know there's dishwasher salt :P

I know from my own experience that the detergent content in tablets is insufficient. This causes a build-up of fatty deposits in the dishwasher's hydraulic system. After a while, the dishwasher stops working and, at best, it is necessary to clean the system.
The salt contained in the tablets is not harmful, but it does not play any role because it is not needed in the washing process.
The task of the salt that you sprinkle into the tank is to regenerate the water treatment system in the dishwasher. At the beginning of using the dishwasher, check the hardness of the water in the network and set the salt dosage accordingly. (read the manual)

Go to the website of the water supplier, local water surveys are usually posted there. You will compare the water hardness given by the supplier with the table in the documentation and you will face the problem of changing units. Siemens gives water hardness in German degrees, and in Poland, hardness is given in mg CaCO3 / dm3. Once on this forum I prepared and posted a unit conversion table, search, calculate and set the correct salt dosage level in the dishwasher.

    I have a question:
I poured water into the salt compartment before turning it on.
Now I have to wash the dishes after 1 wash, put what is left in the water or choose this water and dry the chamber and then add salt ???

Before the first wash, you were supposed to add this salt, but let it there, nothing bad has happened. Now, pour the salt into the container until you feel the salt hill under the cap with your finger, do not worry about the water flowing out when you pour the salt, it will go to the washing bowl .Then screw on the cap of the container and wash down! Of course, as mentioned before, set the water hardness knob to the position according to the hardness in your area and from time to time refill the salt container.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the use of salt in Siemens dishwashers, particularly concerning the presence of water in the salt container after initial use. Users express concerns about whether the residual water is problematic and the effectiveness of 3-in-1 tablets compared to separate salt and rinse aid. It is noted that while 3-in-1 tablets are convenient, they may not provide sufficient detergent, potentially leading to issues like fatty deposits in the dishwasher's hydraulic system. Recommendations include using separate dishwasher salt and rinse aid for better performance and adjusting the salt dosage based on local water hardness. Users suggest checking local water supplier data for hardness levels and adjusting settings accordingly.
