    Hi .
Well, I'm green - I have a net in Neti, I need to share some files in the net for my homies. From what I've heard I need an external IP, my network is split by a router. My question is as follows:
What do you have to do to have an external IP and not an internal one?

Without an external IP address, you couldn't write this post.
The IP address assigned by the router is an internal address - you can check it in the properties of network connections.
The external address is the one that has been assigned to your phone number by your ISP, i.e. Netia in this case.
If you want to check exactly what external address you have at the moment, you can, for example, do it on the following page:
    http://www.ip-address.com

You don't need a fixed IP address to share files with your friends over the internet.
There are many ways to do this - ask on google.

The author of the topic does not ask for a permanent IP address - please read carefully.

Well, just my friend also has a neti without a router and normally shares files via the HFS program, from what he told me, you need to change something and set it, but I don't know how to do it and how to set it (he doesn't :( ) can anyone guide me?? My router is D-lin G624M. Regards

Look, I don't have a public IP address, and I'm writing here.
Networks are not your strong point, sometimes it's better not to write anything than to write such nonsense as quoted.

Maybe instead of arguing, you would help me, and write your comments elsewhere because every answer makes me happy, but when I read it, I break down. Please help thank you very much in advance!! :)

Set up an FTP server, on the router, forward port 21 to the IP where the ftp server will be. To connect to this server from outside the network, you will need to know either the current IP address of the router's WAN interface, or the domain from e.g. dyndsn.

It'd be great if I knew how to do that.

Maybe you should read the posts before you start pointing out mistakes.

    Valuable notice.
It all depends on what and how many of these files you want to share, what connection speed you have, etc. There are really many ways.
    For example:
    1-Send the files by email.
2-Upload files to any upload page.
3-Connect to a virtual network - for example "Hamachi", "Teamviewer".
4-Set up your own website on free servers.
    5-Set up a joint e-mail account.
    6-Exchanging files with P2P programs.

So far, I want to share two files, both occupy 1GB by a large number of people on a certain forum.
My connection is 1Mbit in Netia.
I want to share via HFS-HTTP File Server.
From what I found out, the router blocks my external ip and something needs to be changed, but I don't know how and what, so I am asking for help.

It's probably about TCP and UDP ports, you can unblock them in the router - look for the Virtual Servers tab or Port Forwarding and unblock the program ports for your internal IP.

As far as I know, you have an upload speed of 256Kb/s on this link. Calculate how long it will take to send 1GB of data. A better solution will be to upload the file to a free server.

Well, just in which one to enter it, because I have a pair ;d heh

This is what the whole window looks like:

And as for sending, it doesn't bother me and the computer runs 24 hours anyway, and I have to send it anyway.

Let's emphasize BIG. So, for example, a hundred? 100 x 2GB = 200GB, do you know how many thousands of years that will take? :D
Divide it with winrar into packages of 100 MB and upload, for example, to Rapidshare.

EDIT. I will not write a second post, I am responding to the post below with a bizarre accusation that we are not helping: well, in this post I explained what and how, nothing else is needed! Unfortunately, you insisted on doing it pointlessly, so do it (as a result, you will notice how small your upload is), and in the end you will do as I wrote.

Yes, you can only write in such a way as to discourage me from doing it;/ no help and no detailed instructions for a beginner;/ .......................... ....

Or maybe you will either focus on the "contact" between the computer "behind the router" and the world - which could be an answer that anticipates "what the Author had in mind", or you will literally treat the question asked in the opening post and then the only correct answer will be the one that says "unplug the router and connect the computer directly".
However, if you take care of the first option, it will probably be enough to tell the author to go into the router's manual* and see if you need to clone any MACs, or need some NATs, etc. configure and whether, and if so, how and to which ports should be changed.

    * In this case, its model is not without significance.

We do not want to discourage you, but you have not provided us with the data I mentioned.
I do not know the HFS-HTTP File Server program and I do not know what ports it uses, probably like in most programs, it can be set in the options.
As for the router and its functions - a beginner should get the manual and read it - these are the basics.
This is where the rules of para. 14 and 16.
First link in google it just directs you to the page where everything is described.

Topic summary

To obtain an external IP address for file sharing in a Netia network with a D-Link G624M router, users need to configure their router settings. An external IP is assigned by the ISP (Netia) and differs from the internal IP provided by the router. Users can set up an FTP server and forward port 21 to the internal IP of the server. It is also suggested to check the current external IP using online tools. Alternatives for file sharing include using email, upload services, or P2P programs. Users are advised to consult the router's manual for specific configurations related to NAT and MAC cloning.
