    Hi,

I have a link from netia (internetia). I am currently using netiaspot + asus 1200G + router, internet connected via ethernet and address downloaded automatically.

I would only like to use ASUSA and crash the netiaspot. Once connected, the router gets an IP address from netia, but it looks like all traffic is blocked on it (on the operator's side). When calling the hotline, I found out that I had to activate my own router through the browser. I do not know how to do it, no information is displayed, there is no activation form, etc.

Can someone activate their router in netia? How to do it?

This "activation" is probably just entering the login and password.
There is no such thing as "activation" in routers. It is active all the time ...
    But this router doesn't have a built-in modem ...

As I wrote before, I have an Ethernet connection and I get the address automatically from Netia. I do not have a login and password.

And the other end of that cable you have plugged into the ASUS WAN (Ethernet) port, what is it connected to?

To the wall socket :) (Ethernet) This, in turn, goes to the Switches in the block to which netia and other operators are connected. In short, I do not use the telephone line or a PPPoE connection

Have you tried to clone the MAC address of Netia Spot to the Asus WAN?

Yes, unfortunately it doesn't help. The router normally gets an IP address from netia with no difference on MAC.

    Problem solved!

I called netia again and this time a nice consultant helped me solve the problem. She registered a new device in the system, asked for the MAC address and informed me that the changes would take effect after renewing the IP address lease, which is done automatically every 40 minutes.

Regards and thanks for your help.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the process of activating an Asus 1200G router on the Netia network after replacing the Netiaspot device. The user initially faced issues with traffic being blocked despite the router obtaining an IP address automatically. After several exchanges, it was suggested to clone the MAC address of the Netiaspot to the Asus router, but this did not resolve the issue. Ultimately, the problem was solved when a Netia consultant registered the new device in their system, requiring the MAC address and informing the user that changes would take effect after the IP address lease renewal, which occurs every 40 minutes.
