There is no AUX, what is in the picture is for the SDM (airbag) module. Kisses

Hello Colleagues, where is this AUX cable, because from the photo I can't really track it - it seems to me that it is behind the handbrake, but I'm not sure?

In addition, will I find such a cable somewhere, on one side with a jack to connect MP3, and on the other side with a tip to connect to the above-mentioned cable.

One more stupid question, how to switch to AUX on the CD30 radio

so it is behind the handbrake.
You can buy a plug for this at an Opel dealer, but it is very expensive, I haven't bought it myself yet because it costs too much, but if there was an opportunity, I would buy it.
If you bought and installed it, please write if it works.

I disassembled the indicated element, but my car does not have the plug as shown in the picture, so I do not know what it is about.

I will be at the inspection on Tuesday, I will talk to the mechanics, if I find out something, I will let you know.

    greetings

if you do not have such a plug, it means that you do not have aux connected to the radio, so you probably do not have an aux output at all.

    Hello,

I have astre III (version H) 1.6 115 km (85kw) beige, 2007 facelifted. Radio CD30. On the back of the manual (under the place for the bottle) I found the indicated cable.

Assuming I find the AUX to Jack cable, how to turn on the aux mode on the radio? According to the OPEL instructions, common to the cd30 \ cd30 mp3 radio, I should press the fm / am key several times and aux will appear there. I press, but it only jumps am fm, there is no AUX mode. Do you have to reprogram the radio somehow? is it only soft or also hardware (some changes)?

    thanks for the feedback!

EDIT: I am just reading the instructions and, for example, the AUX vol volume options are only available when the AUX audio source is active. Maybe I do not have AUX under the FM / AM button because the cable is not connected?

EDIT: I found out from the astraklub forum and English speaking sites and from
    a) it is best to remove the radio and check if there are aux pins on the back, but I do not know if when removing the radio it will not turn off and if you do not need to have your radio code that would not be coded (enter it after the AS key .....)
    b) if it has pins and a cable (or add a cable yourself) and there is no AUX in the options (after clicking twice on fm / am), activate TECH 2 (service ...) aux options if there is such a possibility.
doing it is a maximum of PLN 150 aso.

You can take the radio out, it will not be encoded. You can even disconnect it, it will do nothing because the radio is coded with the display and if you change the display, the radio will then be encoded.
And aux need to activate tech2 or opcom.
I did not do it myself anymore due to lack of time, but I took out the radio and checked the pins I have connected to the radio.

    Hello

    I'll refresh the topic.
Anyone go on with this cable?
Maybe someone worked out this tip or bought a cable?

I have the original cable so the AUX output comes out next to the handbrake. I am just looking for this cable (that's why I found the topic 2 years ago ;) ) because the tip has broken down and after connecting the mp3 one can only hear one loudspeaker

Is it possible to connect this AUX output if the car does not have the original one? The service told me that since 2005 these outputs were installed in random cars (as it happened in the factory)

How do we know what's in your car and what kind of radio do you have ?!

Take out the radio and see if you have the description on the AUX radio.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the presence of an AUX input on the Astra CD30 radio, specifically in the Astra H model. Initial responses indicate that the cable shown by the user is not for AUX but for the SDM module. However, later replies confirm that the cable can indeed be an AUX input. Users discuss the location of the AUX cable, which is typically found behind the handbrake, and the need for a specific AUX to Jack cable to connect MP3 players. There are inquiries about how to switch to AUX mode on the CD30 radio, with suggestions that it may require activation via Tech2 or Opcom diagnostic tools. Some users express uncertainty about whether their vehicles have the necessary AUX connections, as these were installed randomly in models from 2005 onwards.
