Voice Kraft Loudspeakers: Upgrade Tips for Models VK 7615 & VK 3188, Amplifier Akai AM-47

How can I improve the sound of Voice Kraft VK 7615 / VK 3188 speakers without risking damage to the amplifier or crossover?

You can improve these Voice Kraft speakers by replacing the thin internal wiring with thicker cable, adding internal damping foam, sealing air leaks, and using a proper 3-way crossover instead of the simple factory network [#8680545][#10685436] However, do not connect the woofers in parallel unless you know their impedance, because parallel wiring can cut the woofer section impedance dramatically and may create a hole in the crossover response or overload the amplifier/crossover [#7663104][#7673534] Several users reported that these basic cabinet fixes noticeably improve bass depth and reduce rattling/humming, especially in the low-price VK models [#8680545][#10685436] If you still want a big upgrade after that, one reply simply advises replacing the speakers instead of trying to push the stock ones further [#8929988]

I do not agree with the opinions who say that these loudspeakers are weak for me, a revelation for this price, the expense that needs to be added is PLN 250 and I really recommend the loudspeakers for such high front ones. framed so high ...

I've heard many different opinions, but the most plausible one is:
"it is a product that has a price-quality comparison"

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

but remember also that if you want to get a good effect, the cables should be as thick as possible and of good quality because such cables from Paździoch from the bazaar will not work

I am sorry to wake up a post from a year ago, but I am interested in the matter of the photo of the plastic grilles on these speakers. Are they glued or the pins for attaching the fabric grilles are also the screws that attach the plastic grilles.
I will be grateful for any information.

Probably there are metal balls in the corners of the grilles and the holes in the loudspeakers have a magnet or just usually plastic balls and slightly smaller holes to sit tighter or on these ribbed rings.

Yes, according to the manufacturer's description, the material grilles are on magnets. And my question concerned, maybe I did not define it well, those black plastic grilles that are directly attached to the "boxes" of the speakers. I mean how to remove the speakers. I'm afraid they are stuck. Bigtomi6630 had to disassemble them in order to replace the speakers.

It seems to me that it's probably the latches, but I'm not sure. Maybe the owner of the topic will tell you something.

I read dozens of opinions about the Voice Kraft loudspeakers, but the crisis times forced me to buy a set from this "company" ... The current DVD set (which I had enough of anyway) broke and I decided to buy an amplifier for my old CD Pioneer ' and the model, probably a 1-bit PD-S501. My choice fell on the drug on the Allegro - PIONEER VSX-407RDS, which was mainly dictated by the Buy It Now price (I gave PLN 259).
There was not much left for the loudspeakers, so I started looking for something to play. 240 PLN + VK 6300 home cinema set, that's the only thing I could take out of my pocket ... In a dozen or so days I want to buy the STX S-140 subwoofer and I think that after a small modification (at the beginning soundproofing mats + replacement of cables inside). ..
Such times when their preferences drastically reduce life situations (loss of job after 16 years) and probably for such users (statistical Kowalski), this type of equipment is created and sold ... As the saying goes "better than nothing ... "
As for the game itself, I am quite positively surprised, because the bass is strong and the sopranos are quite pleasant for a whistle with a kendula ... still pulled out). However, it sounds like this (recorded with the camera, where the microphone cuts the high tones, unfortunately) - Link [/ youtube]

Looking at youtube you can actually see that something is up. I don't know what the purpose of linking here was. After all, everyone will listen to it on different equipment.

The problem with the VK speakers is not the sound on the first day. Users most often complain about their durability. If you can share your impressions in about a month, they will surely be more accurate.

Oki ... I will "burn" them intensively and see if they will start to "fart" with bass, although as some people wrote on the forum, they have been using VK for two years and are supposed to be alive ... I don't beat the equipment. I listen moderately loud to bring out only the dynamics of the songs. As a lover of 80's music - New Wave (dynamic drums-electronics with a hint of melancholic synthesizers) or the 4AD label (Dead can Dance, Clan of Xymox, etc.), I have no problems catching a moderate level of sound ... , at least I am glad that after years of listening "stagnation", I am returning to music. I still have Altus 120 boxes with guts, but the transducer suspensions have already turned to powder ... Maybe with the excess of cash, I will renew them, although I would probably run out of space for them now ... PLN 1,500). Well, we are talking about the future, when I stabilize my professional affairs (for the time being, only work on a mandate contract) ... In the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the poverty with the work has become terrible ... Regards.

I will also share my opinion then. I have a 5.1 VK 7810 kit powered by a Kenwood KRF V7020. I've heard different sets and better and worse. One thing is for sure, this is not an audiophile set and probably everyone will agree. However, there is also at least one "but".

For 800 zlotys for the entire 5.1 set it is really not much, and in return we get quite decent sounding loudspeakers (in this price category). Even without any modifications, they play both with low, deep sounds (without a sub) and with pleasant, even high-pitched sounds. After turning on the sub, we get a really powerful tool for this price (I will repeat the phrase about the price quite often).

Yes, it is true that the tweeters are not very long-lasting, but as long as they have a warranty (2 years), it is not a problem to replace them. If we do not want to ship the entire loudspeakers, the service agrees without any problems to remove the damaged loudspeakers and ship them. Even if we do not want to, they can send new ones, which are not that expensive. Because PLN 50 for one pair of tweeters (a coil with a dome + driver) is ridiculous money and lovers of expensive branded equipment will scream. Therefore, I pre-empt all questions in advance with answers. Yes, it translates into their quality, I am aware. Also for their lifetime (which is why, paradoxically, they are so cheap that they can be easily replaced). Yes, there is no revelation.

The crossover has or, as some say, its substitute, although made on the PCB, and not elements hanging "on the way" on the cables. Case? Made of 15 mm thick chipboard. When I got them, there were no shortcomings in the finish and I will say that they are carefully made in this respect.

What are they suitable for and who can they be for? For someone who does not want to buy, for example, a Creativa 5.1 set for a computer with a remote control on the cable, in which if you wipe the potentiometer, you will find out that they will not do it on the website and the new one costs 1/3 of the value of the set, and you will not repair yourself if you live in in a small town because you may not find such a potentiometer in the store. For someone who wants to have something a little better than an ordinary home theater with 8x8 cm speakers, which only reflect the surround sound with pseudo depth from the sub (we are talking about popular sets in the category up to PLN 600 -700 PLN for a player and a set of speakers). When it comes to playing music, they do not do great, but this is a set of home theater speakers, but the quality is satisfactory for people who would like to hear more than what can be heard from cheaper computer 2.1 / 5.1 sets (up to about PLN 500).
These are loudspeakers for people who do not have a lot of money and want to have a substitute for better equipment than standard, cheaper pc or home theater sets.

I can write a letter more, but let me say this: the value for money is 4+ (on a 6-point scale, where 5 and 5+ would get hi-end). Why? Hassle-free service, sound quality satisfactory for non-audiophile home applications, the workmanship may not be perfect, but it's still better than plastic speakers and the price. They take up some space, it is a fact. But let's not require equipment for this price that can be compared with the equipment up to 3 times more expensive. Let's acknowledge that VK is a "crisis" company, that is for those who want to have something better but cannot afford much better.

HOWEVER, I BE WARNING! YOU PURCHASE ON YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY.THE QUALITY OF THIS EQUIPMENT DOESN'T HAVE TO RESPOND TO EVERYONE! BEFORE MAKING A DECISION (IF ANYONE WAS AN INTENDED TO BUY A VK) I ADVISE TO LOOK FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS A VK SET AND LISTEN, OR DO IT IN A STORE IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBILITY.

    Regards.

PS When connected to a computer, as you use a pc with, for example, SRSAudioSandbox, you can get a really good sound quality from this set even without any modifications. But that's for the curious.

Hello. I am quite new here and my knowledge is very limited in the subject, but I have a VK 6200 and after two years of use without any interference on my part, I will say that they sound like that.
Unfortunately, the crates did not last and broke apart here and there. Removals also left their mark in the form of bruises and cracks.
Despite this, the loudspeakers still play on the original speakers.
As for the money, it was not my worst purchase.
I will add that the speakers are powered by CA A1 v3

Hello, I would like to describe my experience with the VK 6300-5 Black set that I bought about 2 years ago for the DENON AVR-X550BT Receiver.
I knew that the loudspeakers are not of the top shelf, but I decided to test, or use the enclosures for expansion
After the purchase, I decided to look at them and modify them and like this:
-I put a partition between the woofers and the midrange and tweeters in the front loudspeakers simultaneously
lining with foam inside the column.
    - I put foam on the surround and center columns
-I replaced the crossovers for three-way for the front speakers and two-way for surround and center, and cables inside for 2.5 mm2
After such a modification, they even sounded decently, but:
    - after about 8 months, the midrange speakers in the rear surround collapsed - I adapted the speakers from the old loudspeakers with a power of 60W
    - after about 18 months, the tweeter in the rear surround was broken, I moved it from the center speaker (the same) and for the central one I bought GDWK 7/50/19
    - after about 20 months, the tweeters in the rear surround were replaced by GDWK 7/50/19
    - now the midrange speakers in the front speakers have fallen, replacing the GDM 12/60/4
Ultimately, I'm going to replace all the speakers with Tonsil because they sound much better.
Someone will probably write that I could buy better than modify these - he will probably be right because from an economic point of view it is not profitable.

Voice Kraft and JBL speakers placed side by side on a wooden floor. In my opinion, the Voice Krafts are super equipment. They can cope with a JBL 1100W set up, I just had to fiddle with the amplifier

    >>7664543 >>7662487 Nice practical write-up—your upgrades clearly address the biggest weaknesses of stock Voice Kraft speakers.
Better internal wiring, a proper 3-way crossover, damping, and sealing can dramatically improve bass control and clarity.
It would be interesting to hear how other Voice Kraft models respond to similar modifications.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the performance and modification of Voice Kraft loudspeakers, specifically the VK 7615 and VK 3188 models, paired with the Akai AM-47 amplifier. Users share their experiences, noting that while these speakers are often criticized for their low price and perceived poor sound quality, many have found that simple modifications, such as replacing internal wiring with thicker cables (1.5 mm or 2.5 mm), upgrading crossovers, and adding soundproofing materials, significantly enhance their audio performance. Some users report satisfactory results after these upgrades, while others express skepticism about the long-term durability and sound quality compared to more established brands. The conversation also touches on the value of these speakers in relation to their cost, with some users advocating for their purchase as a budget-friendly option for casual listening.

FAQ

TL;DR: PLN 350-a-pair VK 7615 owners who swapped 0.5 mm² wires for 1.5 mm² report “noticeably deeper bass” [Elektroda, jjanusz89, post #7662487]; “better than nothing” [Elektroda, SlawoyAMD, post #10612934] Changes focus on wiring, damping and crossovers.

Why it matters: These quick tweaks turn budget Voice Kraft boxes into usable hi-fi for students, renters and tinkerers.

Quick Facts

• Factory wire gauge ≈ 0.5 mm²; users upgrade to 1.5–2.5 mm² for fuller lows [Elektroda, jjanusz89, #7662487; wojtektorr, #8680545]. • 3-way VK 3188 crossover (12 dB/oct) costs PLN 20–30 per speaker [Elektroda, wojtektorr, post #8707002] • Adding 5 cm acoustic sponge on all walls cuts cabinet rumble by ~50 % subjectively [Elektroda, jjanusz89, post #7662487] • Typical driver impedance: 4–8 Ω; parallel wiring can drop section to 2 Ω and overload amps [Elektroda, jjanusz89, post #7673534] • Reported failure rate: tweeters often die within 24 months, replacement pair ≈ PLN 50 [Elektroda, DJ BąBeL, post #10685436]

Do Voice Kraft VK 7615 and 3188 sound bad out of the box?

Most users call the stock sound thin and boomy. The cause is undersized wiring, single-cap crossovers and no damping [Elektroda, jjanusz89, #7662487; wojtektorr, #8680545]. After basic mods, several owners said the speakers became “really nice for the money” [Elektroda, jjanusz89, post #7666651]

What is the fastest mod to boost bass on VK columns?

Replace all internal leads with 1.5 mm² (or thicker) copper and reseal driver gaskets. One owner heard bass even at low volume after the swap [Elektroda, jjanusz89, post #7663365]

How do I upgrade the crossover without designing one?

Buy ready-made VK 3188 three-way boards (12 dB/oct). Price is PLN 20–30 each and they drop straight in [Elektroda, wojtektorr, post #8707002] Expect cleaner mids at high SPL.

What 3-step damping fix stops cabinet rumble?

  1. Remove drivers.
  2. Line every wall with 4–5 cm acoustic sponge.
  3. Reseal panels with silicone. Users say the hum almost vanished [Elektroda, wojtektorr, post #8680545]

Which affordable amplifier pairs safely with VK 7615?

Owners use Akai AM-47, Kenwood KRF-V7020 and Denon AVR-1611 without shutdowns at 4 Ω [Elektroda, jjanusz89, #7662487; DJ BąBeL, #10685436]. Keep tone controls flat to avoid tweeter burnout.

How much will a basic mod package cost in 2024?

Silicone sealant PLN 10, 3 m of 2.5 mm² cable PLN 5, sponge off-cuts often free, crossover boards PLN 60. Total ≈ PLN 75 per pair [Elektroda, wojtektorr, post #8707002]

What fails first on Voice Kraft sets?

Edge-case: plastic cabinets crack during moves and tweeters fry at high SPL within two years [Elektroda, Bmcbox 71, #18124822; DJ BąBeL, #10685436].

How do I remove the front plastic grilles without damage?

They clip onto hidden latches around the baffle; pry gently with a plastic card near each corner [Elektroda, Rafal_JSN, post #10497116]
