    Hello.

As I am running out of operating licenses, I would like to develop in this direction. After spending a few hours on the internet, I am even dumber than before.

I read that E + measurements = I can take measurements but I can't sign any protocol, right?

If I have E + D, I can sign the protocol, but I can't physically make these measurements myself, right?

I am asking, because what in the forum is a different opinion, some from E write protocols, some from D take measurements ... then I got lost.

Generally, I would like to be able to put electrical installations as before + be able to stamp the measurement report. I also heard that D is very hard to pass without long practice - is it true, are there any well-written materials on the Internet?

Thank you for your help and best regards :)

PS If the post in the wrong section, please move it, because it's neither a technical problem nor a big theory ... :)

    To take measurements you need:
    - E with measurements
    - 1 person trained in health and safety and first aid

To make a protocol you need:
    - measurement results
    - D

To do your own measurements and a protocol, you need the set: E + P + D.
I am just in the final stage of the "complete" course.

E is easy to pass, if you have the concept and practice, even the measurements are not heavy ... The level of requirements for D is much higher. The scope of knowledge covers everything that is included in E + P and a large dose of rules and regulations

If you didn't even have E before, it will be hard to convince the committee that you meet the requirements for E + P + D.

I am practically 5 years old, including a bit of practice. On the course, they advised against E + D + P because it can be difficult to pass at the same time, so for now I wanted to try 2 categories, but I wanted to make sure about the permissions :)
    As for the file:

Sorry, but you are not authorized to download this file.

    I don't know why I can't download ...

The most important thing is E + knowledge + experience :)

Buddy Miwhoo, throw this link to these requirements on D again, or attach the file because it cannot be downloaded.

When it comes to the ease of passing, I will say that it all depends on which commission you will get. For the first time I took it, I got E to 15kV, although I wanted to 1kV and I didn't get the measurements, then they gave them differently, sometimes with measurements, sometimes without measurements, but always D + E to 1kV.

Well, now I have just finished and it is fine to pass again.

I passed all 3 in one go without much problem. I don't know if it depended on a specific examiner or if the fact that I paid them for the course and took the exam from him helped.

Maybe a colleague can quote some sample inquiries?

I know that this is nothing to do with the questions asked during the exam, because they fly out of my head, but I would like to know out of curiosity ...

That was in 2006. It's hard to say anything specific now. I know there were all possible ways of protection against electric shock. I had the numbers and dates of all possible laws and regulations by 2006, and no question was asked about it. It seems to me that the exam that awaits me next year will not be so simple. Maybe it will help me that I will extend my license and not start from scratch.

In the end, I chose E + D + measurements in both categories. The questions were very practical, the examiner said that I can find the numbers in the standards, and that I should be able to do something on a daily basis. I did it :) I close the topic.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the distinctions between the E + D and E + measurements qualifications in the context of electrical installations. It clarifies that E + measurements allows for taking measurements but does not permit protocol signing, while E + D enables protocol signing but does not allow for conducting measurements. To perform both tasks, one needs the combination of E + P + D. The conversation also touches on the challenges of passing the D qualification, which requires a deeper understanding of regulations and practical experience. Participants share their experiences with the examination process and the importance of knowledge and practice in successfully obtaining the necessary licenses.
