In the realtek settings, increase the microphone volume + boost and check if you have it selected for recording.
In the communicator, check the microphone configuration.

In the Realtek panel, disable the front jack detection, if you connect the microphone there.

You probably have the same problem as me, realtek HD already have it :P you need to turn on the boost by the microphone but of course you can't find it? He's there, just in a very strange place, don't look for him in recording, only in playback. Run realtek HD manager->mixer tab->wrench icon->press and select advanced controls->scroll with the small arrows located on the right until you find FRONT PINK IN and REAR PINK IN->there are these tiny icons with 2 dots of Advanced -> check the option : increase microphone performance. And that's probably all, just go to the windows control panel and set the appropriate volume or do the same using the realtek application in Program files\realtek\Audio\Drivers\WDM\MicCal.exe

If after installing Realtek HD Audio Drivers in Realtek HD Manager I have the microphone set and selected as default (checked with a tick) and it still does not work and it is a problem in the laptop, I will add. There could be several reasons, but I think the problem is:

Clock bar->Speaker->select Playback devices->Speakers->Properties->LEVEL!!! and here somewhere should be our Microphone, it's probably muted.

If I helped please message me.
